Seeing more family before coming home
Before heading back to TX, we made quick stops in Pocatello and in Provo to see some of Devin's family. Devin's grandpa is 91 and so we stopped to see him and had a great time and then we spent a night in Provo to see Devin's mom, and 1 brother, 2 sisters and their spouses before heading back to TX. Austin had a great time meeting his new cousins, aunts and uncles and seeing Babba again, but by the end he was exhausted and ready for his next big adventure . . .
Our Lunch Date
We were so glad to see you and share pictures, stories and laughs about our first couple of weeks with Austin and see you holding Austin. It was a special day for everyone!
Actually, one of our favorite things is seeing your smile and happiness and sense of peace as you looked at pictures and we told you stories about your lil Austin - it gives us a sense that in someway we are helping to provide the affirmation that Adoption was the right choice and that we are at least a little bit living up to the trust you have placed in us.
We hope that as you look at the blog and see Austin grow, that smile and peace provides that continual affirmation.

His first action sport event Part 3 of 3(we stumbled upon this while spending time in Boise with Devin's family)
Austin went to his first sporting event( a remote controlled car race) at the Qwest Arena in Boise. We stumbled across this event while strolling around downtown. We had a fun time and we think Austin liked it too!

Leaving the hospital
Ahh, it was so great to see you again, but so hard to say goodbye - I love you!! . . .
My two moms together (as an aside, I have two beautiful moms). To my birthmommy Debbie, thank you for giving me life and although we may not know all the reasons why you chose adoption for me, we know you did it out of great selfless love for me and I thank you!
Birthmommy Debbie, you look amazing - I can't believe this is just 18 hours after delivery. I was so excited to see you before you left the hospital. I love you!
