A Month in the life of..... LIL A-MAN (AKA Austin)

Hey Debbie, how is summer in Idaho? We are having a great summer here; crazy that it is going so fast. Sorry it has been over a month since we posted. We have been traveling alot and are excited to share Ausin's latest adventures, including a 2nd tooth!

We took so many pix during the trips that it is hard to get all of them on the blog. So we uploaded them to facebook. FB not as personal and fun as the blog, but want you to see more of his pictures. Austin's adventures this month sent him to...

-NJ. Saw Daddy's family. Lots of crazy loud people here. But lots of fun too!

Beach: There is a common theme in the pictures (hint: watch my mouth, everything goes in)

Pizza: Maybe I was trying to eat everything at the beach because I thought it was that yummy pizza stuff I tried the day before. when are we going back to NJ to eat more pizza? (the answer is August 11-20. We made a quick trip to NJ because we were going with Devin to Boston where he had training the following week

-Boston:
Aquarium: I loved the animals, especially the little penguins and the turtles!
Red sox game. Everyone loved him there. He was happy and smiley the whole time!
Museum of Science and Museam of art: I didn't really get these, something about me being just a baby still...

-Reno:

Saw and entertained grandma, grandpa, Uncle Justin and Aunt Kandice, great grandma and cousins Vince and Shelby

Six Flags: After getting rejected many times, Dad and I finally found a few rides I could go on. they were so much fun. I sat on a camel and some other animal and went up and down in a circle. So much fun! I also got splashed by a giant whale. I didn't like that very much:(

4th of July fireworks!! I also go see fireworks in TX on most Fridays. They are so exciting!

Family pictures: Well at least everyone else thought they were family pictures, but what we all know is that they were my formal coming out party. Everyone always thinks I am the etrade baby from the commercials, now I have a formal photo shoot to prove I am....:) People really do say he looks like the baby from the commercials, pretty funny

Lake Tahoe: Clear and beautiful, but too cold. Daddy did take me in and get me used to it though. Eventually, we found a rock and we made it AMAN Rock. Nobody could take it from us!

And here are a few pictures to make this blog a little funner. But there are tons of pix from the last month that we just put on Devin's Facebook.

He loved the eggs and of course he tried to eat them which resulted in a tye dye face:)

Moooover grooooover.... and Easter Part I

Sorry this is so delayed... Devin stole my computer! More to come:) This is from two weeks ago. He is now up on all fours a bit more and even faster!! We will try to video him tomorrow and upload another video for you.

I am an independent little guy...

We started letting him hold spoons to distract him when he is eating, and all of a sudden he figured out how to put the right end of the spoon in his mouth. Here is a little video and some pics

More fun and look, I want to stand and walk not crawl

So after he learned how to bend and jump in his jumper, he always wants to be bouncing. So Devin and Austin do some little standing, jumping, bouncing and flipping for playtime. There are times when he is much better than in this video, but we haven't gotten them on tape. This will give you a little flavor though...

Fun times!!!!!

Alright, Debbie, we hope you love this post. Austin really loves doing the super sneaky attack on lynette. (sorry we didn't send earlier). What is really awesome about this video is that Austin loves to watch it. He gets mesmorized watching himself be the star of the show, he laughs, watches his movements, etc. Really fun.

Hope all is well there in Idaho, and that Spring is coming!

My first "real" food

After Austin's check up at the Dr. he was able to start eating solid foods. Some Stat's of Austin at 6 months 27" long and 16lbs 12oz. He is getting big and from his shots and immunizations we have learned that he has a sweet tooth. He loves the sugar water they give him mixed with one of him immunizations... thus when we started him on "real" food we started with Veggies... the reaction we got was this...
"I love Veggies"!

Blessings

On February 12th we had Austin sealed to us in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. It is such an amazing blessing to be an eternal family with him in our lives! It was a beautiful ceremony and we are so blessed to have had so many family and friends there to attend. Devin also gave Austin his baby Blessing while we were there and that was such a sweet blessing for him to have. We are so blessed to have been able to adopt Austin and blessed to have you as our amazing, sweet, birthmom who we love and are eternally grateful to have you in our lives.

Austin goes to Court

We woke up bright and early (6:00am) on the 7th of February. We were excited to take Austin to Court... It was such a special day that we waited for, for so long. The hearing went really well he was so good and the judge just loved Austin and even gave him a teddy bear. Who we named "Court". Austin really loves "Court" and in the one picture he is holding "Court's" hand.
We think of you and pray for you every day because when you chose adoption, you gave us something no one else ever could have. You have made our lives complete and we love you so much, you are the best birthmom we could ever ask for and we love sharing this with you. I love you birthmom Debbie!!! LOVE Austin

Austin is so talented

We are so proud of little Austin. He seems to do things early. He decided that he could feed himself and now likes to hold his own bottle and doesn't want you to hold it for him or help him except on the few occasions when he drops it then he wants help. He often gets upset when you are trying to help him get the bottle back in his mouth but doesn't realize that his little hands are preventing you from putting it in (he's pretty strong). He gets very excited when he sees his bottle and can't wait to get it. He reaches so hard for it while we are making it up. It's really cute! He also went on his frist skateboard ride. We went to this standing wave place and they also had skateboards you could test out so Austin tested out his first skateboard. He rode it all by himself for 10'. We may have to post the video of that to prove it.

From Atlantic to Pacific in One Day!

After our trip to New Jersey for Christmas we went to Cali for a Surf trip and the opening day of Supercross in Anaheim California. We took Austin to our favorite pizza shop on the Ocean City boardwalk and the next morning we got up really early and fly to Cali where we went right to Huntington beach. Supercross was a lot of fun Austin got to meet some of the Riders in the pit before the race and even got his benie signed by Jemery McGrath, and Nate Adams. He loved the motorcycles but didn't love the fireworks so much. We all had a nice trip! Here are a few pics Hope you enjoy!
